Image
In a world where one decision can change the course of your life, how far would you go to survive? How much would you risk to protect the people you care about? These are the powerful questions at the heart of The Spy’s Apprentice – a thrilling new novel by Manish Orian Kindo that’s capturing the attention of readers everywhere. Set against a backdrop of crime, politics, and hidden identities, The Spy’s Apprentice dives deep into the world of espionage, this isn’t a typical brooding spy story that we have read or seen a million times before. It’s a fast-paced journey of survival, loyalty, and betrayal, told through the eyes of ordinary people caught in extraordinary circumstances. The book kicks off with a high profile murder and our protagonist, Sajjan, showing up at his old friend’s house — not alone, but accompanied by a young woman and her little sister. What seems like a desperate plea for just a night’s shelter quickly unfolds into something much bigger. As the hours ...

Echoes of Loss and Longing Through Verses: A Look into Whispers of the Blue Ghost by Pratikshya Panda

Image
In Whispers of the Blue Ghost, Pratikshya Panda invites readers to step quietly into a landscape shaped by memory, longing, and the ever-shifting contours of loss. This evocative poetry collection is not a loud lamentation of grief, but rather a soft, persistent whisper—an intimate exploration of what it means to hold on to the past while learning to let go. At the heart of each poem in this book lies a delicate balance between simplicity and emotional depth. Pratikshya’s poems do not overwhelm with complex language or abstract metaphors. Instead, they whisper truths with a gentleness that lingers long after the final poem has been read. There’s an amount of restraint that allows each image—whether it be water, bone, star, or shadow—to resonate deeply, creating an atmosphere where the reader can feel both grounded and suspended, real and dreamlike. The recurring imagery of nature in Whispers of the Blue Ghost—especially water—serves as a powerful metaphor for grief and memo...

Timeless Thoughts - Review

Image
Is Silence the voice of the era? Wonderfully written! I found Timeless Thoughts to be a wholesome collection of poems. From time to dreams to social evils, love, and loss, there's a lot of influences and themes that are examined here and I found the thoughts behind the words quite reflective. Also the simple usage of words are appreciable. That's what makes the poems flow and never was I distracted by any show-off words. I especially liked the poem called Silence. In today's loud and busy world this almost felt like a meditation and also asks very pertinent questions. Is Silence really the voice of this era? With so much happening around us and so few voices of dissent this I think is a very relevant question. Kudos to the author for asking it.
