Portals of realms - eternal earth is the first book in the portal of realms series. It is written by Ailed de la Torre. It is a fantasy fictional book, where a realm is created by gods like sun, moon, earth, sea and wind like pancha tatva or 5 elements which we know. So they have created this realm so that humans and magical beings live together or co-exist in harmony. Among them a rejected god becomes a threat, where due to jealousy and vengeance is destroying the harmony so the gods appoints guardians angels to protect it. Then a human protagonist comes into picture where she gets drawn to this realm to uncover her past. It is a fairly long book and very engaging. Themes involved like romance, slow burn plot, adventure, mystery and lore by Gaelic-Irish traditions. Curled Crystal by S. Nimma - Book Review

Image
Curled Crystal is written by S.Nimma. This book is about how mental health is portrayed. The story follows around Veronica who has an undiagnosed bipolar and borderline bipolar disorder which results in hard to trust people and maintain healthy relationships. On surface she looks normal but internally she is claustrophobic and deals with destructive coping mechanism. Her yearning for love makes her vulnerable to manipulation and emotional abuse, while her fractured perception of reality distorts memories and deepens her isolation. This book completely shows how a person's personal life or their view point. Themes includes in book involves emotional abuse, trauma, distorted memories etc. This book doesn't involve any redemption arc only a raw portrayal of the untreated mental issues and their internal chaos. Narration is quite real and felt like going through someone's biography. This book is not everyone’s piece of cake. Very authentic, genuine and real. Really...

Life Without IF: A Motivational Roadmap for Intentional Living

Image
Life Without IF: A Motivational Roadmap for Intentional Living Life often feels like a chain of “what ifs.” What if I fail? What if I am not good enough? What if circumstances don’t work out? These questions weigh heavily on our decisions, often pushing us into hesitation and doubt. The book Life Without IF by Sudipto Chowdhury and Joyking Birje takes this familiar word: IF, and turns it into something powerful. Rather than seeing it as a barrier, the authors show how it can become a catalyst for courage, action, and transformation. Unlike the average self-help book, this isn’t about short bursts of inspiration that fade the next day. Motivation may push us temporarily, but it rarely tells us exactly what to do next. This book is different. It not only provides a roadmap but acts like a GPS for transformation, guiding readers step by step toward intentional living. Why This Book Stands Out Most motivational books rely on lofty ideas. Life Without IF is firmly grounded in sc...

Echoes of Love, Footsteps to Glory - Book Review

Image
This book was a surprise for me. The words felt like fresh air that really touched me. I really thought it is going to be another book about “hard work” and how you can change your life through hard work and become successful but I was wrong the main character of the book is not madly chasing success, rather he is just living his life, with his strong faiths and somehow success is following him. Most of the time we do hard work because we just have to do (the trauma of what people say), but here, in the book the teenage boy shows us that you always need purpose behind your hard work, which makes your work more meaningful and successful. Here, the boy is not obsessed with money or fame, he just follows his inner saying and trusts the universe even when he faces failures. It is comfortable in a good way because most of the time I overthink about my whole life, but this teenager showed me that it's ok to not be over prepared for your uncertain future. It is ok to take one ...

Dogisthaan: A Mythic Reawakening of the Bond Between Man and Dog

Image
In Dogisthaan: Kingdom of the Dogs, debut author Shayon Moitra has crafted a riveting tale that transcends the boundaries of myth, morality, and modernity. Set in a world where ancient pacts and sacred responsibilities are forgotten amid the chaos of urban decay and human apathy, Dogisthaan is both an epic fantasy and a sobering, almost humbling, reflection on the cruelty often meted out to voiceless creatures. Through richly imagined and coherently constructed lore and characters that resonate on a deep emotional level. Shayon has explored a unique concept of what happens when humanity breaks a promise it barely remembers making. At the heart of the story is a powerful legend – the ancient pact between Kram, the Dog Lord, and humankind. This pact, centuries ago, guaranteed harmony with humans entrusted to care for and respect canine life. But in the industrialized present, where stray dogs are seen as nuisances and are frequently subjected to neglect and abuse, this sacred...

What seems like a desperate plea for just a night’s shelter quickly unfolds into something much bigger. As the hours ...

Echoes of Loss and Longing Through Verses: A Look into Whispers of the Blue Ghost by Pratikshya Panda

Image
In Whispers of the Blue Ghost, Pratikshya Panda invites readers to step quietly into a landscape shaped by memory, longing, and the ever-shifting contours of loss. This evocative poetry collection is not a loud lamentation of grief, but rather a soft, persistent whisper—an intimate exploration of what it means to hold on to the past while learning to let go. At the heart of each poem in this book lies a delicate balance between simplicity and emotional depth. Pratikshya’s poems do not overwhelm with complex language or abstract metaphors. Instead, they whisper truths with a gentleness that lingers long after the final poem has been read. There’s an amount of restraint that allows each image—whether it be water, bone, star, or shadow—to resonate deeply, creating an atmosphere where the reader can feel both grounded and suspended, real and dreamlike. The recurring imagery of nature in Whispers of the Blue Ghost—especially water—serves as a powerful metaphor for grief and memo...
